Advertising Disclosure

Effective and last updated: August 21, 2026

Current status: third-party advertising and affiliate links are not active in the Site code as of the date above. This disclosure establishes the rules that apply before monetization is enabled.

1. Advertising

Display advertising will be separated from weather information and labeled “Advertisement” or “Ad.” Paid articles, tools, placements, or other native-style content will be labeled “Paid Advertisement” or “Sponsored Advertising Content” near the headline or primary content. Labels will remain readable on desktop and mobile devices.

Visitors will never be required or encouraged to click an advertisement to access forecasts, station readings, or other core Site functions. Advertising must remain separated from search controls, navigation, webcam controls, alerts, and other interactive features to reduce confusion and accidental clicks.

2. Sponsorships and affiliate links

If the Site receives payment, free products, commissions, or another material benefit connected to content or a link, that relationship will be disclosed close to the relevant content when required. An affiliate link may generate a commission when a visitor makes a qualifying purchase, without changing the visitor’s price unless expressly stated.

3. Editorial and data independence

Advertisers and sponsors do not receive authority to alter forecast values, connected-station observations, source attribution, safety disclaimers, privacy settings, or public-station moderation decisions. Weather data and third-party provider content remain subject to their identified sources and limitations.

4. Advertising data and privacy

Advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information, IP addresses, page activity, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, limit, secure, or personalize ads, subject to applicable law and the visitor’s choices. Details appear in the Privacy Notice. Where consent is legally required, advertising technology should not be enabled until the applicable consent process has been completed.

5. Ad choices and reporting

Visitors may use available consent controls, browser settings, device settings, advertising-industry opt-out tools, or Google’s My Ad Center to manage certain advertising preferences. Report an inappropriate, misleading, unsafe, or poorly placed advertisement to Webmaster@KarnigVentures.com or through the Contact page.

6. Weather and safety content

Advertising must not obscure official-source notices or be presented as emergency, aviation, marine, medical, construction, or other professional guidance. Products appearing near weather information are not certified or recommended for a particular condition merely because of their placement.

7. Activation and updates

Advertising remains inactive. The Site has reserved clearly labeled placements, published its authorized-seller record, and prevents advertising code from loading unless both advertising and a Google-certified consent platform are expressly marked ready. Before activation, Karnig Ventures must publish the applicable Google Privacy & messaging choices, enter issued ad-unit identifiers, test consent withdrawal plus mobile and desktop labeling, and update this disclosure if actual partners or practices differ. Karnig Ventures may reject, remove, or request correction of advertising that is deceptive, unsafe, unlawful, inappropriately placed, or inconsistent with these standards.

8. Weather-data licensing gate

Advertising code is also prevented from loading unless the server has been configured with a commercial Open-Meteo subscription key. Publishing an authorized-seller record or receiving advertising-platform approval does not by itself activate ads or establish a commercial weather-data license.
